Prenatal massage
A calm, well-supported hour for expecting guests, with therapists trained in prenatal care and a table set up for comfort on your side.
What it isreally like
Prenatal massage at Solace Sands is offered from the second trimester onward, and every session is given by a therapist with prenatal massage certification. You lie on your side, supported by body-length bolsters under the belly, between the knees and along the back, so there is no pressure on the abdomen and no time spent flat on your back.
Most guests come to us for the lower back, hips, shoulders and swollen feet and ankles. Pressure stays gentle to moderate, we avoid certain points on the ankles and hands, and we use unscented jojoba or a pregnancy-safe lavender blend. We do not use hot stones during pregnancy, and we suggest the warm lounge rather than the sauna, steam or cold plunge.

We avoid raising core body temperature during pregnancy, so hot stones, the sauna, steam room and cold plunge are off the table. The relaxation lounge is always welcome.
